Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, the Governor acknowledged the profound pain of losing a loved one, assuring the family that God remains sovereign and sufficient in times of grief.
He noted that the worth of a life is not measured by its length alone but by its impact and the enduring memories left behind, encouraging the family to find comfort in the hope that lies beyond the present sorrow.
Governor Otti prayed God to grant the family comfort, courage and fortitude to bear the loss.

Ugochukwu Ahuchaogu, husband of the deceased, chief mourner
Earlier in his sermon entitled “Death: A Great Mystery of God Upon Humanity,” Pastor Chibuike Nwogu of Faith Clinic Intercessory Ministry described death as an inevitable reality of human existence.

He admonished Christians not to grieve without hope, but to strengthen their faith in God, stressing that while human support may fail, trust in God provides enduring reassurance.
Late Mrs Onyiyechi Patricia Ugochukwu, 38, who was also a staff of BCA, is survived by her husband and other relatives.
Dignitaries at the burial included the Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, Mr Matthew Ekwuruibe; Director in charge of Government House, Umuahia, Mrs Onyedikachi Ogwo; Acting Director-General of BCA, Comrade Francis Nwaubani; leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), and other well-wishers.
