Otti Approve Payment for Medical Bills of Nollywood Actress Ngozi Nwosu

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has approved payment for the first phase of the medical bills of Abia-born veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu.

The gesture follows the Veteran Nollywood actress’s appeal for financial support to raise ₦30 million for three urgent life-saving surgeries in a viral video.

Nwosu said she has been hospitalised for three weeks and can no longer cope with the cost of her treatment.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Tourism and Entertainment, Dr. Justice Okey Martins (aka J. Martins), disclosed the governor’s assistance in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

He thanked Governor Otti for the timely intervention while appealing to Nigerians to continue supporting the veteran actress.

According to Dr. Martins, the Governor’s intervention covers the first part of Ngozi Nwosu’s medical expenses, but additional financial support is still needed to ensure she receives the care she requires.

“His Excellency @alexottiofr has just stepped in on the health issues of our Abia-born Nollywood legendary actress, Mrs. Ngozi Nwosu, to approve the first part of our medical bills,” he wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“While we sincerely appreciate His Excellency, we still appeal to kind-hearted Nigerians to please support her in any way possible.”

The Eagle News reports that the governor’s SSA did not disclose the amount approved by the Governor Alex Otti.
