CDOWA Abia Command Chapter Visits Special Education School for the Blind with Gifts

The NSCDC Abia State Command chapter of Civil Defence Officers Wives Association (CDOWA) on Monday, paid a courtesy visit to the students of the Special Education School for the Blind, Afara-Ukwu, Umuahia, Abia State.

According to Doreen Udugwu, Public Relations Officer of NSCDC, Abia State Command, visit was led by the Chairperson of the Association, Princess Alice Akinsola, ably represented by Mrs. Rita Nwaogu.

It focused on showing solidarity with the students through the presentation of food items and words of encouragement to uplift their spirits and strengthen their sense of belonging.

Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Nwaogu noted that the gesture was part of CDOWA’s ongoing commitment to promoting compassion, inclusivity, and community support, especially towards vulnerable groups in society.

The students and staff of the Special Education School for the Blind expressed their appreciation for the visit and the generous donations, describing the gesture as timely and deeply impactful.
