_Party Says Move Aimed At Unity Ahead Of 2027 Elections_

UMUAHIA, Abia State – The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has granted unconditional pardon to former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK), former National Vice Chairman, Chief Nkwonta Nkwonta, and other members over alleged anti-party activities.

The decision was reached at a stakeholders’ meeting held at the APC Secretariat in Umuahia on Sunday, as the party seeks to reconcile members and strengthen its ranks ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Moving the motion, the APC candidate for Aba North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Uzor Azubuike, said the pardon was aimed at promoting unity and keeping all members together in the interest of the party.

He said forgiving the affected members would help prevent actions capable of undermining the unity and electoral prospects of the APC in the state.

While announcing the pardon, stakeholders warned that although past infractions had been forgiven, future acts of anti-party activities, indiscipline and disloyalty would not be tolerated.

The meeting was part of ongoing efforts by the Abia APC to reconcile aggrieved members and present a united front ahead of the next general elections.
