Ukaegbu Felicitates Abia Workers on May Day, Commends Gov Otti for Regular Payment of Salary

Abia State Commissioner for Transport Dr Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu has extended warm felicitations to workers across the State as they mark the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration.

In a goodwill message to commemorate the annual event on May 1, Dr. Ukaegbu praised the resilience, dedication, and contributions of Nigerian workers despite prevailing economic and social challenges.

The Commissioner while commending Governor Alex Otti for being consistent with regular payment Abia workers’ salary, urged them to reciprocate the governor’s magnanimity by being diligent and dedicated to their duties.

He further enjoined the leadership of NLC and TUC to maintain the harmonious working relationship that has continued to exist between it and the State government.

Ukaegbu therefore wishing them a happy Workers Day also prayed to God to strengthen and imbue them with wisdom, favour and longevity to continue their service to the fatherland.
