Iberenta Development Union Constitutes Interim Youth Leadership

IBERENTA — The executive of Iberenta Development Union, IDU, Federated, has announced the constitution and inauguration of an interim leadership for the Iberenta Youths Association.

The appointment was contained in an official notice signed by the President General, Bishop O. U. Prince, and the Publicity Secretary, Divine Nwankwo.

According to the notice, the decision became necessary to ensure the youths have a leadership structure following unsuccessful attempts to conduct elections.

The interim executive members inaugurated are:

1. Jude Eluwa – Acting President

2. Barr. Ifeanyi Umesi – Secretary

3. Uche Osuagwu – Taskforce/Sanitation

4. Chinecherem Akoha – Treasurer/Welfare

5. Mr. Chibuike Onyegbula – Provost/Sports Director

The Union said the appointment takes effect from Wednesday, September 9, 2026, corresponding to Ekeukwu Market Day, and will last for one year, barring unforeseen circumstances.

Meanwhile, the federated executive has mandated the new leadership to use the period to unite the youths and draft a workable constitution and bye-law for the association.

The IDU executive further enjoined the appointees to live up to expectations and lead the youths aright, assuring them of the support of the federated executive.

The notice was formally communicated to Nde Iberenta at home and abroad for information.
