Abia North Traditional Rulers Pass Vote of Confidence on Gov Otti, Pledge to Support Him for Second Term

Abia North Traditional Rulers Council have passed a vote of confidence on the State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, pledging to support him for a second tenure in office come 2027.

The was contained in a communique issued at the end of their meeting on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Isuikwuato Local Government Headquarters, and endorsed by the Chairman, Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Linus Nto Mbah, the third Deputy Chairman, Eze Uwakwe Ukaegbu and others.

The Royal Fathers highlighted with deep appreciation, the impact and effectiveness of his administration in almost all sectors including road infrastructure, personnel welfare, security, the environment as well as the welfare of traditional rulers in the State.

They commended visible projects done by the Governor, including reconstruction of roads, retrofitting of primary health centres, renovation of schools among others.

The Traditional Rulers agreed “to work assiduously to support the government of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, particularly in the area of security by aligning with all the security agencies to ensure the nooks and crannies of Abia state are safe and secured.”

The Abia North Traditional Rulers Council therefore “Passed a vote of confidence on Governor Otti, describing him as CHIOMA NDI ABIA, and a man who has redefined governance in Abia State and touched lives positively.”

They also unanimously decided to support Dr Alex Chioma Otti for a second tenure in office come 2027, to continue the good work he is doing.
