Orji Launches 2027 Campaign for Ikwuano/umuahia Seat, Pledges “Campaign of Truth and Service”

UMUAHIA, Abia State – The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, has officially launched his 2027 campaign, promising a politics built on facts, transparency and verifiable service.

In a message to constituents released on Tuesday, August 19, 2026, the same day INEC lifted the embargo on campaigns for federal elective offices, Orji said voters deserve leadership based on truth, not propaganda.

“As the campaigns officially kick off today, I want to assure you that you can expect a campaign built on facts, truth, transparency, and accountability,” he stated.

“I will not mislead you with empty promises, propaganda, or information that cannot be verified. I believe you deserve to know the truth and to make your decision based on clear and accurate information.”

Orji said his campaign will focus on issues that directly affect the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia, including employment opportunities, education, healthcare, infrastructure, youth empowerment, support for small businesses, tech and improved living conditions.

He pledged to clearly communicate his plans, how they will be achieved, and the steps to ensure constituents benefit.

The former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly promised that his commitment would not end after the election.

“If elected, my commitment will not end with the election. I will work to attract meaningful development to our communities in Ikwuano/Umuahia, advocate for projects that improve roads, water, healthcare and education, support our young people and entrepreneurs, and ensure that the needs and concerns of our constituents are properly represented,” he said.

He also promised to remain accessible and accountable.

“I will listen to your concerns, report back on my responsibilities, and work with you to build a stronger and more prosperous constituency.”

“This election is not simply about choosing a candidate; it is about choosing the kind of leadership and future we want for our people. Let us choose truth over propaganda, service over self-interest, and real development over empty promises.”

“Together, with your support and trust, we can build a constituency where every community and every individual has an opportunity to progress,” he concluded.

Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji is contesting to represent Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections.
