Eze Ijenwa Inaugurates Ọrọ-ibere National Development Union Executive

The Traditional Ruler of Ọrọ- Ibere Autonomous Community, Ikwuano LGA, Eze Dr. Stanley Ijenwa has inaugurated the executive of Ọrọ- Ibere National Development Union (ONDU) with Dr. Green Nwaoha of Iyalu as President General and Mr. Imeremba Imeremba of Iberenta as Secretary.
Performing the function at his palace in Iberenta, Ọrọ -Ibere Autonomous Community, Sunday, Eze Ijenwa noted that, the union has not been functional for a long time as the two ancient communities – Iberenta and Iyalu have been operating separately but said that time has come for all to work together as one.
He told the leaders that their appointment is a call for service as they are servants to Nde Ọrọ-Ibere and stressed the need for them to deploy effective communication to ensure that everyone is carried along.
The Royal Father, who charged them to work with the executive of both the Development Union of the two ancient communities and their vigilante groups, expressed confidence that with the crop of individuals selected, the leaders would perform effectively and be able to tackle the challenges facing the autonomous community, including finding solution to the bad road and devastating erosion menace.
In their goodwill messages, the President General Iberenta Development Union, Bishop O.U Prince and his Iyalu Development Union counterpart, Mr. Ogadinma Isaac, expressed joy for the reconnection of the cordial relationship existing between the two ancient communities through the inauguration of the executive.
They commended the traditional ruler for the initiative and thanked the officials for accepting to serve Nde Ọrọ-Ibere.
They said that the members of the executive are well known to the community and would are capable to do the work given to them and called on all to support them to succeed.
Responding on behalf of other members of the executive, the President General, Ọrọ- Ibere National Development Union with Dr. Green Nwaoha thanked Eze Stanley Ijenwa and stakeholders of the community for the confidence reposed in them and assured that they would deliver on their mandate, while requesting the support of everyone.
The Deputy Mayor, Ikwuano LGA and son of the soil, Hon. Lucky Chibuikem Awuwa and members of the Eze’s cabinet were present at the inauguration.
