Abia Govt to Go Tough on Traffic Offenders – Ukaegbu, Tasks Staff on Professional Conduct

Abia State Government frowns at disobedience to traffic rules, warning that offenders, including driving against traffic, otherwise known as one-way driving, over speeding, among others.

The Commissioner for Transport, Dr Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu gave the warning while monitoring traffic situation in some streets in Umuahia, with some staff of the Abia State Road Traffic and Safety Management Agency.

Ukaegbu, who on the street to monitor compliance with traffic rules and enforce punishment for the traffic offenders, instructed the officials to remain professional in the discharge of their duties.

He further urged the to maintain sanity and orderliness in line with the governor’s vision for the state transport system.
