Stakeholders in Umunneochi, Isuikwuato Endorse Otti for Second Term As Abia Monarchs Intensity PVC Sensitisation

Stakeholders in Umunneochi and Isuikwuato Local Government Areas have endorsed Governor Alex Otti for second term in office, adopting him as their sole candidate for the governorship election.

The endorsement followed the continuation of the statewide sensitisation tour of LGAs by the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers who sensitised them on the need to register for and obtain the voters card to participate in civic responsibilities.

Speaking at Nkwoagu, Isuochi, headquarters of Umunneochi LGA during the visit, Mayor Sunday Afuruobi, thanked the traditional rulers for embarking on the tour, describing the visit as a reaffirmation of what they already know, saying that Governor Alex Otti has changed the narrative of Abians both home and in the diaspora.

Mayor Afuruobi maintained that Governor Otti’s intentional leadership has positively impacted the lives of citizens in Umunneochi citing the restoration of security in the area as one of the greatest achievements of his administration.

He said that the Umunneochi people are not only supporting the Governor but also vote massively for his reelection in 2027, noting that they had commenced mobilisation for the people to obtain their voters card to complement their promise.

Addressing the people, Chairman of the Abia State Traditional Rulers Council Eze Dr. Linus Nto Mbah described their visit as an evangelism aimed at letting the people identify with the good deeds of Governor Alex Otti.

Eze Mbah pointed out that the Governor’s performance in three years outweighs all previous Governors in Abia put together, emphasising the need to support him for another term in office.

The monarch who urged the stakeholders to register for their voters card, further encouraged them to also mobilise their subjects to do so, especially those who have attained the age of eighteen years and above as well as those whose cards have been defaced.

In their separate remarks, HRM Eze Ernest Onwuka, Chief Paulinus Okoye for PG, Ichie Dan Ume and Mrs Chibuzo Maduka-Iro thanked the traditional rulers for their visit and reiterated their commitment to the Governor’s second term in office.

They appreciated Governor Alex Otti for restoring security in Umunneochi Local government area noting that they restoration of security have greatly impacted on the economic growth of the LGA.

In Mbalano, headquarters of Isuikwuato LGA, Eze Linus Nto Mbah, while pointing to Nunya and Umuahia Uzuakoli Akara roads as some of the Governor’s achievements, also noted that the Governor’s performance cut across all sectors of the economy.

Responding, Dr. Sunny Maduka on behalf of PGs, Youth Leader Chibuisi Aguiyi and Mrs Uzoamaka Acho, Women Leader pledged to support Governor Alex Otti noting that the State has witnessed unprecedented development in his first three years.

“We have witnessed what the Governor is doing and we are making a promise that we will vote for him again,”
