Dr Monday Ubani Hosts Nation as Awomukwu Records Historic Burial Ceremony
December 27 marked a defining moment in Awomukwu community of Ikwuano Local Government Area as renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Dr Barrister Monday Ubani, gave his mother, Late Nsomma Gladys Ubani, a farewell that will long be remembered across Abia State and beyond.
Rather than a subdued funeral, the burial unfolded as a vibrant celebration of life and legacy. Awomukwu was transformed into a national convergence point as dignitaries, traditional rulers, legal luminaries, captains of industry, and cultural leaders arrived in their numbers, effectively placing Abia State in the national spotlight.
The atmosphere was rich with excitement and warmth. Colourful decorations, carefully arranged seating, and seamless coordination reflected thoughtful planning and deep respect for tradition. The entire setting communicated gratitude, honour, and celebration of a life well lived.
Dr Ubani and his wife stood with dignity and composure as they welcomed guests and honoured their mother and mother in law. Their actions reflected filial responsibility and gratitude, celebrating a matriarch whose 90 years on earth left a lasting imprint on family and community.
The burial attracted high level political presence, including Abia State Governor Alex Otti and Senate President Godswill Akpabio. They were joined by senators, federal lawmakers, state legislators, and top government functionaries, underscoring the respect accorded the Ubani family.
Entertainment and glamour added sparkle to the occasion as popular musician KCee Limpopo and Nollywood icon Kanayo O Kanayo graced the event. Business leader E Money was also present with his entourage, drawing admiration and attention from guests.
