Yuletide: Umuahia North Traditional Rulers Pray for Peaceful Abia State, Nnamdi Kanu’s Safe Return
Transitional Rulers from Umuahia North Local Government Area have offered prayers for the security of lives and property of its sons and daughters including IPoB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
This is as they also prayed for peace in their Autonomous Communities, Local Government and Abia State at large, before, during and after the yuletide.

Addressing newsmen at the end of the prayer session held at Umuahia North Council Headquarters, the Chairman of the Council, Eze Innocent Nwaigwe, described the exercise as an annual ritual of Ndi-Eze where they offer prayers for their sons and daughters and for the Government in power.

They used the forum to commend the proactive security architecture put in place by Governor Alex Otti’s administration which accounts for the prevailing peace and security across the state.

Eze Nwaigwe noted that the Traditional Rulers also offered prayers for the safe return of their son and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
They used the prayer session to appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to as a matter justice, prevail on the release of Kanu to enable him celebrate the Yuletide with his kinsmen.

“Nnamdi Kanu is our son, he is a crown Prince, we call on President Bola Tinubu to heed our plea for his unconditional release. We hope to celebrate the Christmas season with him.
“We will also thank the Nigerian government and the President of our request is granted.”
While also asking God to help their Youths to refrain from social vices such as illicit drug intake and alcohol as well other criminal activities, they further invoked spirit of the gods of the land to apprehend those who would not turn a new leaf.
