Ukwa East, West Adopt Otti for Second Term as Eze Nto Mbah Lead Sensitisation Tour to LGAs

The traditional institution in Ukwa East and West Local Government Areas have pledged their unalloyed support for the second term bid of Governor Alex Otti in Abia State.

The people comprising all the traditional rulers, village heads, town union leaders, women, youth leaders, were unanimous in adopting Governor Otti as their sole governorship candidate during a visit of executive members of Abia State Council of traditional rulers.

The visit, led by Eze Linus Nto Mbah, Chairman of Abia State traditional rulers Council with Chairmen of traditional rulers in the 17 local government areas was aimed at mobilising support for registration for permanent voters card PVC by residents in the grassroots.

Speaking at Akwete, headquarters of Ukwa East and Okeikpe in Ukwa West, Eze Dr. Linus Nto Mbah noted remarkable transformation taking place across Abia State under the leadership of Governor Alex Otti.

Eze Mbah emphasised that Governor Otti’s administration has brought about positive changes in road infrastructure, healthcare delivery, education, sanitation, and security, and has restored hope and confidence in governance.

According to him, the traditional institution in the State is proud of the Governor Otti’s commitment towards inclusive governance and sustainable development, and has endorsed him for second term to ensure continuity, stability, and consolidation of the gains already achieved.

He therefore urged the leaders to mobilise their people to register for the ongoing continuous registration exercise by INEC to enable them obtain their PVCs and vote for Governor Otti to continue his good work in Abia State.

Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers in Ukwa East Eze Ekeke Ikeawuchi, Chief Echika Ekeke, Engr. Wisdom Akata, as well as Ugoeze Nwankwo said Governor Otti has shown genuine concern for the welfare of the of people Ukwa in particular and the entire State.

They pledged the support of the traditional rulers and their subjects to Governor Alex Otti’s second tenure bid, promising that they would mobilise their people to obtain their PVCs and vote massively for him in the 2027 election.

Leaders who spoke on behalf of stakeholders in Ukwa West including; Chief Raphael Elendu, John Akobundu, Sir Boniface Nwaigwe and Mrs Charity Nwagbara stated that the endorsement of Governor Alex Otti was based on the visible transformation and renewed sense of governance currently being experienced across Abia State.

They appreciated Governor Otti for heeding their plea and giving an Asa son the Labour Party House of Representatives ticket for Ukwa East and West federal constituency, pledging to vote massively for the Governor to complete his second term of eight years like others before him.
