The Lead Consultant of the Abia Leadership Academy, Mr. Johnson Abbaly, has lauded Governor Dr. Alex Otti OFR for his support for the flagship initiative designed to equip young Abians with leadership skills, mentorship, and future-readiness training.
Mr. Abbaly stated this recently in an interview, where he said that the program targets 1,000 youths aged 16 to 20 in 2025, with subsequent cohorts scheduled to participate over the next four weeks.
He said that the Academy provides intensive leadership training, equipping beneficiaries with the knowledge and skills necessary to hold leadership positions.
The training according to him will help beneficiaries develop a growth mindset, canceling out negative values and promoting a strong visionary outlook towards Abia’s development.
He stated that beneficiaries are taught the values of transformational leaders, including commitment, service, dedication, and sacrifice.
He said that the program is designed to produce global leaders capable of redefining governance in Nigeria and that Participants will learn practical decision-making, idea interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
They will also engage in meaningful community service projects that create positive social change.
He also disclosed that the program features workshops and mentorship sessions designed to equip beneficiaries with leadership skills and practical exercises aimed at developing their problem-solving skills.
The Abia Leadership Academy represents a bold step in the Otti administration’s commitment to raising a new generation of leaders who will drive progress and innovation across Abia State and beyond.
