The Commissioner for Transport in Abia State, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu has extended his warm greetings to all fathers, especially those in the transport sector on the occasion of this year’s Father’s Day celebration.

In his Goodwill Message to commemorate the day, Dr. Ukaegbu, who described them as hardworking men, appreciated them for their continued support and immense contributions to the growth and development of Abia State.

According to him, “Fatherhood represents responsibility, sacrifice, leadership, and service — values that are reflected daily in the commitment of our drivers, operators, unions, and all stakeholders who work tirelessly to keep our people and economy moving.”

“As a Ministry, we recognise your dedication and the important role you play in building a safer, more efficient, and sustainable transport system,” Ukaegbu said.

“Your cooperation in ongoing reforms, including the improvement of our transport infrastructure and services, remains highly valued.”

Dr. Ukaegbu encouraged the transport community to continue to uphold professionalism, discipline, safety consciousness, and mutual respect to collectively advance the vision of a better Abia.
