Ukaegbu Inspects Ongoing Construction of Aba Bus Terminal, Reaffirms Commitment to Modern, Organised Transport System 

The Abia State Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu, has conducted an inspection visit to the ongoing construction of the new Aba Bus Terminal in Aba.

The inspection is part of Governor Alex Otti’s administration’s urban renewal and transport master plan aimed at decongesting Aba metropolis and delivering world-class transport infrastructure for residents, traders, and commuters.

The Commissioner, who was joined on the visit by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Transport, Dr Obioma Nwaogbe, Permanent Secretary, Mrs Jane Ola Awah and the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Mr Chinenye Mba-Uzoukwu, met with the Planet Projects Team.

Speaking during the tour, Dr. Ukaegbu assessed the progress of work at the terminal site and expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of construction so far.

The Commissioner urged the contractors to sustain the momentum, adhere to specifications, and deliver the project within the agreed timeline.

He assured that the government under Governor Alex Otti is committed to completing the terminal to serve the commuting public as soon as possible.

The Aba Bus Terminal project is one of several ongoing infrastructure interventions by the Otti-led administration in Aba, which also include road rehabilitation, market modernization, and improved traffic management.

The Abia State Government remains committed to building an organized, safe, and efficient transport system that supports Aba’s status as the commercial heartbeat of the Southeast.
