Market Traders Association of Nigeria (MATAN) SE/SS Appoints Charles Ifenkwe as New PRO
The Market Traders Association of Nigeria (MATAN) has appointed a former Permanent Secretary in the Abia State Ministry of Information, Mr Charles Ifenkwe as the Public Relations Officer for South East and South South.
Ifenkwe was unanimously appointed to serve in that capacity during the Association’s SE/SS joint Zonal Economic Summit held at the Holy Ghost Cathedral Conference Centre, Ogui, Enugu, Enugu State.
Inaugurating the new PRO alongside the new Zonal Secretary Mr Humble James, the BOT Member SE/SS, Chief Mrs Ebele Okafor and Chief Greg Enwerem, the Zonal Coordinator SE/SS MATAN projects, said Mr Charles Ifenkwe was appointed based on his rich media background as a veteran journalist and public relations guru.
They expressed the hope that Mr. Ifenkwe will bring his media experience spanning over two decades to bear on his new assignment to justify the huge expectation of the people from him.
Responding, Mr. Charles Ifenkwe pointed out that media and public Relations job is a familia terrain having worked as a reporter, rose to the position of Director of News and Current Affairs in the Broadcasting Corporation of Abia (BCA) and subsequently appointed as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information from where he retired.
He thanked the leadership of MATAN and delegates to the SE/SS joint Zonal Summit for the confidence reposed in him and promised not to betray it.
