Ikwuano Dazzles As IDU-F Marks 70th Anniversary

The stage is now set for extravagant celebration as Ikwuano LGA of Abia State rolls out the drums on Tuesday December 23, 2025 in celebration of the 70th anniversary celebration of it foremost community Union – Ikwuano Development Union – Federated, IDU-F

“It’s a platinum jubilee celebrations, and Ikwuano has every reason to look back and celebrate with Thanksgiving for having made it thus far”, says Dr Monday Ubani, SAN, Chairman of the Central Planning Committee.

“Marking 70 years anniversary is a significant milestone and the IDU-F will use this occasion to unveil the first ever Ikwuano Hall of Fame and induct it’s distinguished sons and daughters who have brought glory and honour to their community and nation”, Dr Ubani added

The celebration will also witness the foundation laying ceremony for the physical Ikwuano Hall of Fame,
a legacy project of IDU-F that will comprise events centre, library and other amenities

The ceremony which will hold at Isiala, headquarters of the LG will attract a list of who is who from the LG plus their friends and well wishers

Sources close to the Central Planning Committee hints that the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti who will also be inducted as Honorary member of the Ikwuano Hall of Fame will also be the Guest of Honour at the occasion, however Dr Ubani says while there are plans to that effect, it’s too early to confirm.
