Abia Monarchs Felicitate Gov Otti on his Birthday

Traditional rulers in Abia State under the auspices of Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers have congratulated Governor Alex Chioma Otti on his 61st birthday today, the 18th February 2026.

This was contained in a release endorsed by the Chairman of the council, Eze Dr Linus Nto Mbah (LINTO) on behalf of others to commemorate the Governor’s birthday,

The royal fathers described Governor Alex Otti as a quintessential, thorough bread professional and dynamic leader of renown, whose emergence changed the ugly narratives of Abia state.

The release notes that the governor has, in 33 months in office, demonstrated leadership acumen and affected lives of Ndi Abia positively, contributing immensely to the development of Abia State.

The Monarchs appreciated the giant strides recorded so far by Governor Otti in road infrastructure, education , healthcare, waste management, security, public service reforms, ICT, youth development among others.

These, they described as unprecedented since the creation of Abia State.

They particularly commended him for constructing the historic Omenuko bridge and a 30 kilometres Ozuabam -Ndiokereke – Okobo -Ihechiowa – Arochukwu road, thereby given Abians, particularly those from Arochukwu, Bende and Ohafia LGAs, a great relief.

They saluted Governor Otti who they described as CHIOMA NDI ABIA for his love, honour and respect showed to the leadership and members of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, which he demonstrated by increasing their monthly stipend and has continued to support them in the promotion of security in their communities.

The Traditional Rulers Council leadership on behalf of the principal officers and members of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers prayed God to continue to bless Governor Alex Otti and grant him more wisdom and good health and opportunities to continue to serve Abia people as their Governor till 2031.

He wished the Governor a very happy birthday celebration.
