Ikpeazu’s Deputy, Ude Oko Visits Otti, Hints on Joining Governor’s Labour Party
The immediate past Deputy Governor of Abia State and a Chieftain of the PDP, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu has said that Governor Alex Otti has through various landmark achievements earned himself a second term in office.
Sir Oko Chukwu stated this while answering questions from newsmen, after a closed-door meeting with the Governor at his country home in Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South LGA.
He noted that Governor Otti has within a short period in office transformed every facet of the State’s economy.
“You see, let me tell you, I’ve gone around Abia state, especially those of us who come from Abia North. You just discovered that the kind of road infrastructure that we have there, is unprecedented,” Oko Chukwu said.
“So, it’s not all about politics, it’s not. No propaganda about it. The truth must be told. There is a remarkable improvement.

“You discover that virtually everything that he’s doing, he’s been very, very intentional about everything. Is it in terms of road infrastructure? Is it on health? Is it on sports? Very, very intentional.
“Going by what he ( Gov. Otti) has done so far, you will discover that without mincing words, he has earned himself another tenure” Sir Oko Chukwu stated.
The former Deputy Governor described the infrastructural revolution of Governor Alex Otti across Abia state including Abia North, Aba and Umuahia as unprecedented.
According to him, Abians have never witnessed the level of cleanliness and development as being championed by the present administration.
“Even if you move around Aba, move around Umuahia, the level of cleanliness, is such that we have not witnessed before,” He stated.
The PDP Chieftain said that the visit was to appreciate the Governor’s giant strides across the State, noting that the Governor has been intentional in all he has done in road infrastructure, Education, Health, sports development.
“So, we just came to commend him and to appreciate him and let him know that all hands are on deck to support him, and looking at all that he has been able to do within just two years.
“You can just be reassured that the man has earned himself another tenure,” Sir Oko Chukwu repeated.
Oko Chukwu who did not rule out joining the Labour Party, said he would make hi is plans public once he concludes his next move.
“They are doing realignments, it’s also likely that some of us will also join them in doing realignments.
“If I’m going to do that (join LP), I will invite all of you to be part of what will happen, maybe soonest,” Sir Oko Chukwu stated.
