Eze Linto Applaudes IsDB $125m Loan, Says Facility will Skyrocket Development in Abia
The Chairman Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Linus Nto Mbah has said that development in Abia State will skyrocket with the injection of $125 million financing facility into its infrastructure sector.
The facility secured from Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), for Abia State Integrated Infrastructure Development Project, received the approval of President Bola Tinubu and the Federal Executive Council at its FEC meeting last week Wednesday.
Reacting to the development, Eze Mbah said that the facility would support the construction of about 126 kilometres of road in Aba and 35.57 kilometres in Umuahia, including critical erosion control works in the state.
According to him, the infrastructural development projects would reduce travel time in Abia roads, create jobs and arrest erosion menace, among others.
The Royal father commended Governor Otti for his achievements, noting that his administration has earned the trust of leading international development institutions because of its transparency.
He added that the Governor’s commitment has not only restored public confidence, but has also drawn the attention of multilateral and bilateral partners eager to support his transformation agenda.
Eze Mbah, who is also the Traditional Ruler of AtaIgboukwu kingdom, Umuzomgbo in Arochukwu Local Government Area, thanked President Bola Tinubu for approving the facility.
He also saluted other partners of Abia State Government for their various roles in securing the bank facility for the further development in the state.
