City Boy Movement in Abia Endorses Tinubu for Reelection, Declares Existing Leadership Structure Valid
City Boy Movement, Abia State chapter has endorsed the second bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring that the southeast will overwhelmingly support his reelection in 2027.
In a communique issued at the end of its meeting in Umuahia, the group said the support was in recognition of the President’s reforms, commitment to national unity and adherence to the Nigerian Power Rotation Principle.
The communique, read on its behalf by Cosmas Sekeri-Nwele, Ukwa West LGA Coordinator, was endorsed by the leadership of City Boy Movement in Aba State and all LGAs.

“The City Boy Movement express support for ongoing and the planned federal projects in the Southeast, including road rehabilitation, rail expansion and the renewed attention to long abandoned infrastructure, which signifies stronger federal inclusion of the region,” the communique read.
The Communique reaffirmed that its existing leadership and organisational structure in Abia State, LGA and world levels remain valid, recognized and fully operational.
It further reaffirmed their collective commitment to unity, discipline, internal democracy and sustained grassroot mobilization across the 17 LGAs of the State.
While noting recent appointments within the movement, it emphasised the need for consultations, inclusion and harmonisation with existing structures to prevent confusion, duplication of roles and demoralization of grassroots members.
On newly appointed members, the communique encouraged them to work collaboratively with the existing leadership structures in the overall interest, growth and stability of the City Boy Movement in Abia State.
It equally mandated the Abia State leadership to formally engage the national directorate to clarify rules, reporting lines and coordination mechanisms in order to strengthen cohesion and effectiveness.
The communique urged members across all LGAs to remain calm, focused and committed to the ideas of the movement while ongoing engagement and consultations are completed.
The Eagle News reports that all the Local Government and Ward Coordinators of City Boy Movement were in attendance at the meeting held on Saturday at the Renewed Hope Partners Office in Umuahia.
