Bishop O U Prince Emerges PG as Iberenta Development Union Elects New Executive

A new executive for the Iberenta Development Union Federated (IDUF) has been elected with Bishop Ozuh Uchechi Prince (a.k.a Igbudu Jesus) as President General.
Speaking after the election, the Deputy Mayor, Ikwuano LGA and son of the soil, Hon. Lucky Awuwa challenged the new functionaries to approach leadership with a sense of responsibility.
Awuwa stressed the need for development unions to work with government to bring about development in their communities.
He urged them to sustain their support to the administration of Governor Alex Otti of Abia State.
The Deputy Mayor while congratulating the new officials, enjoined the people to support them to succeed as their assistance is needed.
In their speeches, the Traditional Ruler, Oro-Ibere Autonomous Community, Eze Stanley Ijenwa and Chairman Electoral Committee, Sir. Sylvanus Madu pointed out that the new leaders are coming to serve Iberenta and not to rule over them.
They harped on the need for them to show great commitment to the service of Nde Iberenta and unite the people.
Earlier, the immediate past President General, Barr. Emeka Ukazu stressed that Iberenta is one indivisible community that should be kept as one and urged the new leadership to uphold the unity of the community.
He thanked the people for the support they gave him through out the period of office and enjoined them to sustain the support to the present leadership.
Responding on behalf of other executive members, the President General, Bishop Ozuh Uchechi Prince said it is a new dawn in Iberenta and assured that Iberenta would become more united and progressive under his government.
He thanked them for the confidence reposed in him and his colleagues and pledged to harness the human and material resources of the people for collective development of the community.
The full list of the newly elected officials executive are; President General – Bishop Ozuh Uchechi Prince, Vice President, Mr. Stephen Nnaji and Secretary General, Ugochukwu Ikwulegbu.
The rest are: Assistant Secretary, Chijioke Samuel, Treasurer, Emeka Madu, Financial Secretary – Ikechukwu Onyeri, Publicity Secretary – Divine Nwankwo and Provost,Okehi Benjamin.

Congratulations to the newly elected executives. Bravo to the outgoing excos, who were selfless to handover even when obviously there was pressure for them to continue especially the Secretary General, Mr. Imeremba Michael Imeremba. Leadership should be seen as service to humanity not avenue for personal enrichment & perpetuity.
