Ukaegbu Welcomes Tinubu to Abia State, Describes Visit as Presidential Endorsement of Excellent Performance

The Abia State Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu welcomed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on a one-day working visit to Abia State on Friday, October 3.

The President will be in God’s Own State to perform the official inauguration of eight strategic internal roads in Aba, including the Port Harcourt Road, Aba, described as one of Dr. Otti’s signature projects.

Dr Ukaegbu, in a statement said the President’s visit to Abia State is a clear testimony of Governor Alex Otti’s unparalleled achievements in the annals of the State and a clear endorsement of excellent performance by no less a person than the number one citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He noted that the visit of the President would afford him the opportunity to have a feel of Abia’s legendary hospitality as the people have geared up to give him a resoundingly warm and befitting reception.

Dr. Ukaegbu, commended the Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti OFR, for his gigantic and people oriented legacies in the State.

He pointed out that Otti’s performance in 28 months speaks eloquently of his unrivalled commitment towards rebuilding Abia state from the massive decay in infrastructure occasioned by many years of neglect.

The Commissioner stressed that the one-day visit will also present an opportunity for the President to behold, first hand, the indomitable transformative effort of his host, friend of many years, toward rebuilding the state from the 24-year old decadence and ruins in the hands of transactional politicians.

According to him, Governor Otti’s commitment to transforming the state and restoring the lost glory of Aba, as a leading industrial hub, is encapsulated in his transformative blueprint, and has also manifested in many other sectors, such as infrastructure, education, health, security, amongst others.
