Ukaegbu Sues for Peace Among Motor Union Leaders in Abia State

The Leaders of Motor Unions in Abia State has been called upon to prioritize peace and cooperation to move the State transport sector forward.

The Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu, made this call during a meeting with the Union leaders in his office, aimed at promoting harmony among transport unions.

Dr. Ukaegbu highlighted the importance of peaceful coexistence among union members, stressing that it would foster a conducive environment for transportation activities in the state.

He assured the unions of government’s commitment to providing security and support to ensure their smooth operation.

The Transport Boss further tasked them on the need for all the Unions to work in synergy to actualize the vision of Governor Alex Otti in the transport sector.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Transport leading Union in Abia state, Mr. Chukwuma Azodo (China) promised to carry other Unions along and work in peace to foster harmony in the transport sector.

Azodo pledged their unalloyed support to the administration of Governor Alex Otti.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Transport Dr. Obioma Nwogbo, the State Director of Transport Comrade Boniface Oleka, Chairmen of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), and Road Transport Employees Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) attended the peace meeting.
