Akomas Mourns Buhari, Says He Left Indelible Records of Service

The National Chairman of Forum of Former Deputy Governors of Nigeria Dr. Chris Akomas has expressed sadness over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari at a London hospital.

In a release endorsed by Comrade Chidi Asonye, his Special Adviser on Media, Dr Akomas noted that the departed former President would be remembered for his indelible records of service, his altruism, patriotism and strict sense of duty to the country and her people.

The erstwhile deputy Governor of Abia State further described the late Ahj. Mohammadu Buhari as “a principled, disciplined and patriotic Nigerian, who had integrity and did his best, to the service of the country, putting in many years of his life to it, while insisting that it takes courage, sacrifice and service to achieve all that he achieved in his lifetime.”

He extended his condolences to his family, the people of Katsina State, President Bola Tinubu, and all Nigerians, urging the Mohammadu Buhari’s family and loved ones to bear his demise with fortitude, as he prays that God grants his soul eternal repose.
