NIPR to Honour Ukaegbu with Excellence Award in Image Management

Abia Transport Commissioner, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu, has expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Abia State Chapter, for recognizing his contributions to the state with an excellence award in reputation/Image management.

During a courtesy visit by NIPR members, led by Chairman Deacon Felix Olunkwa, Dr. Ukaegbu emphasized the value he places on professional awards, which he believes are awarded based on merit rather than manipulation.

He pledged to support his information officers in joining NIPR and to back the Institute’s state programmes to the best of his ability.

Dr. Ukaegbu also commended the NIPR chapter for acknowledging his efforts as Transport Commissioner in Abia State, pledging to discharge his official duties with professionalism and excellence.

Earlier in his address, Deacon Olenkwa Felix, Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Abia State Chapter, praised the commissioner for his exemplary management of the transport sector, contributing to peace among various transport unions, and announced NIPR’s intention to award him for excellence in image management.

Felix urged the Ministry of Transport to collaborate with NIPR on reputation management, sponsor training for PR staff, and support their participation in NIPR events, emphasizing a commitment to a secure and informed public environment.
