JAMB Exam: Abia Govt Cancels Environmental Sanitation Exercise for April

The monthly environmental sanitation exercise originally scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Abia State, has been cancelled.
The decision is to enable candidates participating in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), to freely access their examination centers without restriction.
The Commissioner for Environment, Philemon Asonye Ogbonna, who announced this in a release encouraged all residents to take personal responsibility in cleaning their homes, surroundings, gutters, and drainage systems closest to them.
“A clean and healthy environment remains a collective responsibility.
“We remind the public that maintaining a clean environment is essential to promoting good health and preventing disease outbreaks.”
According to the release, the State Government “appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all Abians as we continue to prioritize both the health and environmental aspirations of our citizens.”
